Well hello all of you! I apologize for the tardiness of this post. We arrived in Vienna after 15 hours of flying or being in airports, it was a really long flight but a safe one! We travled around Vienna for the first week and saw all the sights! I never quite realized that Vienna was soo big until we started going around. We went to an opera, a real bonified opera, which was an expierience all on its own. :) The summer academy went very well, it was two weeks of music, meeting new people and trying to learn German. Not very many people speak English, so we have had our share of adventures. Lilienfeld is a small village about an hours drive from Vienna. The monestary dates back to 10th century. Every thing is centered around the Lily, the flower of lily is everywhere. Food over here is great but very very rich. They make awesome cakes and things I honestly dont think America can even make. But i have to admit that i miss American Hamburgers. ;) At the music academy i had very excelent teachers and met a whole bunch of new people. Well i have been here for three weeks and miss home a lot, but we are now here for three more weeks and it is going to be an adventure! :)

Updates
Two days ago with the help of Karry Gansburg, Robert Jorgenson, and my Mother, I recorded all the songs that I am playing in the program. Yesterday, my Mom took them to CCI and they were miraculously done by 5:00p.m. Last night I played Meditation From Thais by Jules Massenet at Sunrise Beach School Graduation. I want to thank Roxanne Cox for giving me that opportunity and being so behind me! I had fun playing there and I appreciate the support of everyone there. Tonight I am playing in Tacoma at the German Church and I hope all of you can come! :)

The teacher
Helen DePastel Pagels has been my violin teacher for over nine years. I started with her when I was six, and am so blessed to have her for a teacher. Helen grew up in Germany around the time of WWII, with it not being safe where she was, she was sent by her parents to a music conservatory, where she did not see them or have any form of communication with them for about four years. Having fallen in love with the violin at such a young age, she grew to be a master. Helen was so good that at the age of fourteen she performed Beethoven concherto with the Berlin Philharmonic.God has blessed me with a wonderful teacher, who has become more and more of a friend over the years. I thank God that He has let me have her as my teacher.
